Hi! I’m Carly Vester, owner and chief flower nerd of Sunset Snips Flower Farm.
In 2021, I had the joyful experience of hand-picking and making my wedding bouquet at a flower farm in Bend, Oregon. I knew I wanted to source local and build the bouquet myself, but I didn’t expect the inspiration this would stir up. In 2022, I grabbed a shovel, some seeds, stayed up too late most nights learning about flowers.
Little did I know, this same year my garden would sustain me through the longest days of a difficult autoimmune disease diagnosis. hese flowers have brought so much joy into my world, color on gray days, and a sense of calm unique to being in a sweet smelling, bee buzzin’ garden. 🐝
We began offering bouquets in 2023 and are continuing to grow with each year. Named for the neighborhood we are located in, we’re a petite backyard flower farm specializing in different varieties of cut flowers. We don’t use pesticides or herbicides in the garden, and are big on finding alternatives to plastic. Sunset Snips is also a proud member of the Gig Harbor Flower Farmers Guild, committed to the slow flowers movement and its talented local farmers.
Stop by the flower stand to take a peek at the blooms or bring some home – either way, I hope they brighten your day. Need flowers or a custom bouquet? Feel free to reach out!
